Konvert Mail

Privacy policy

Last updated: November 5, 2026

In short: we can't see your email. Konvert has no server of its own, collects no analytics and stores nothing about you.

Your email

Konvert connects directly to your email providers (Gmail, Outlook, iCloud and others) and downloads messages to your Mac. Messages saved for offline use are stored encrypted on your Mac. The developer has no access to them.

Passwords and sign-in

Passwords, keys and sign-in tokens are stored in the macOS Keychain. When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, you do it on their website. Konvert only receives permission to access your mail and never sees your account password.

AI assistant

AI runs only when you ask it to, by pressing a button. Apple Intelligence runs on your Mac and your messages never leave it. If you choose Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or another service and enter your own key, the text you ask for help with is sent to that service at that moment, and that service's terms apply. The rest of your mail is never sent anywhere.

Images and contact photos

You can block remote images in messages (Settings, Privacy) so senders can't tell you opened their email. If Gravatar photos are on, Konvert requests them using a hash of the email address.

What we don't do

No usage analytics and no crash data collection. No ads and no trackers. We never sell or share data with third parties.

Google user data

Data obtained through Google APIs is used only to display and manage your mail within Konvert. It is not shared with people, not used for advertising and not used to train AI models, in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Deleting your data

Remove an account in Settings, Accounts, and Konvert erases its messages from your Mac and its password from the Keychain. Deleting the app removes everything else. You can also revoke access in your Google or Microsoft security settings.
